The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college is expected to perform the following functions:

Objective:

The prime aim of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the Institution

Functions:

• Development and application of Quality benchmarks/parameters in academic and administrative activities of the College.
• Designing and implementing Annual Plans for institution level activities for quality enhancement.
• Dissemination of information on Quality Aspects.
• To organize Seminars, Workshops, Conferences and promotion of Quality circles.
• Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to the quality improvement.
• Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
• Arrange for feedback responses from students for quality related institutional processes.
• Retrieval of information on various quality parameters of higher education and best practices followed by other institution.
• Participation in the creation of a learner-centric environment conductive for quality education.
• Act as a nodal unit of the institution for augmenting quality related activities.

• Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
• Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation.
• Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure.

Progress Report for the Academic Year: 2018-2019

Academic and Research Activities undertaken:

• The college conducted an Orientation Class to the newly admitted students for Goal setting on 11.07.2018.

• Department of Sanskrit Organized Guest Lecture by Prof. M.V. Ramana, Dept. Sanskrit, Andhra University on “Maharshi Vyasa & Guru Pournami” on 26.07.2018 and Donated Prize Money to Toppers in Sanskrit.

• Bramha Kumari Eswariya Vidyalayam and the college Yoga Center organized Work Shops on “Awareness Program on Golden India” and “Life Skills & Personality Development” on 04.08.2018.

• Department of Commerce and M.B.A organized Seminar on “Awareness on GST”, Sri Sankku Rama Krishna, President, State Chamber of Federation Industry delivered a lecture on 08.09.2018

• The MLA of Bhimavaram constituency Mr. P. Ramanjaneyulu had felicitated Dr. J.S. Prabhakara Rao by attaining A.P Best Teacher Awardee on 16.09.2018.

• Department of History has celebrated World Tourism Day on 27.09.2018.

• Placements Drive has been conducted for degree computer students and MCA students by WIPRO on 28.09.2018.

• State Level Work Shop has conducted by A.P Skill Development Corporation on “Amazen Web Services” “Cloud Computing” “Communication Skill Software” 04.10.2018 to 06.10.2018.

•  The college has conducted Graduation Day for Passed Out students in the college campus on 12.10.2018.

• A new course of M.Sc. Aqua Culture was introduced and inaugurated on 12.10.2018

• Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation Center opened in the college campus on 12.10.2018

• One day workshop on the occasion of National Postal Day celebrations, Smt. P.V.L Sandhya Rani Head Postmaster delivered a lecture on “Postal Schemes, Postal Savings and Banking Systems. 

• Academic Audit conducted in our college on 02.03.2019 by the academic audit members appointed by the CCE and our college got ‘A’ Grade

• Online SSR submitted to NAAC Office Bengaluru on 02.03.2019

• A Gust Lecture was delivered by Dr. S. Rajya Lakshmi, A.P. State Women Commission Member on “Women Empowerment Issues and Challenges” on the eve of International Women’s Day on 08.03.2019

• Autonomous Expert Committee visited our college on 08.04.2019 & 09.04.2019 to the extension of autonomous.

• On the eve of “World Senior Citizens Care and Protection Day” the college has conducted a awareness program to educate the students about senior citizens on 15.06.2018

• “ International Yoga Day” the college NSS Units celebrate International Yoga Day for better living on 21.06.2018

• Department of Botany had conducted an Orientation program on “Value and Use of Trees and Plants” in our campus on 21.06.2018

• On the eve of Padma Sree Sri Nerella Venu Madhav’s memorial the college and Chaitanya Bharati Nataka Parishad conducted “World Famous Mimicry Artists Memorial Commemoration Day” on 23.06.2018 to encourage the students

• The college NSS Units celebrate “Sri Alluri Sita Rama Raju’s” Birth anniversary on 04.07.2018

• The college Women Cell and Department of A.P. Police, Bhimavaram conducted a Awareness Program and Rally on “Trafficking and Violence against Women Sexual Harassment etc. and Women Safety” on 20.07.2018.

• The college celebrated “National Festival of the commemoration of freedom fighters” on the eve of Independence Day on 15.08.2018.

• The department of Telugu organized one day seminar on “The value of Telugu Language and the Services of Sri Gidugu Rama Murthy Panthulu to Telugu Language” on the eve of  “Telugu Bhasha Dhinotsavam”- Birth celebration of Sri Gidugu Rama Murthy Panthulu on 29.08.2018

• The college NSS Units conducted Plantation “To Aware the Value of Trees” and distributed 400 plants to pupils and planted 60 plants in different places on 01.09.2018

• Our college has conducted District level competitions on Yuva Tejam organized by Department of AP State Youth Services on 08.09.2019

• Inter University Women Valley Ball selections and competitions have been conducted by the department of Physical Education from 04.10.2018 to 05.10.2018.

• Blood Donation camp was conducted in the college by Lions Club and Govt. Hospital of Bhimavaram on 09.10.2018

• “National Postal Day’s week” celebrations are conducted by department of Indian Postal Services in the college premises on 12.10.2018.

• On the end of Posta Day week celebrations we felicitated Post Man’s on 15.10.2018.

• Senior Open Chess Competitions are conducted in our college by Chess Association of Bhimavaram from 30.10.2018 to 01.11.2018.

•  Mega Medical Health Camp had conducted on 05.11.2018 by NSS Units with Lions Club collaboration

• Divisional Level Youth Festival has been conducted by Department of Youth Affairs, A.P State SETWEL from 23.11.2018 to 24.11.2018

• International Women Protection and Relief Day celebrated by the women cell of our college on 25.11.2018.

• Constitution Day celebrated by the department of Social Science on 26.11.2018.

• Rope Skipping competitions are conducted by the department of Physical Education on 28.11.2018.

• Cultural Youth Festival – “ Yuva Tharangam” conducted by Youth Services A.P SETWEL

• Tour Heritage cultural program has been conducted by A.P Tourism in our campus on 30.11.2018

• District Jaya Bheri Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament conducted by the Department of Sports from 10.12.2018 to 15.12.2018

• Entrepreneurship Awareness camp conducted for three day by Andhra Pradesh State Employability Skill Development Corporation from 10.12.2018 to 12.12.2018

• Department of M.Sc. Aqua Culture has introduced two new Diploma Courses from 21.01.2019 to 21.03.2019

• Students of K.G.R.L College visited Leprosy Center on 31.01.2019 to eradicate untouchability

• Road Safety Security Poster Released on 06.02.2019 by AP Traffic Police in our campus

• Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj Birth anniversary has been celebrated by the ABVP  Students of our college on 19.02.2019

• “What’s Next India” has conducted campus drive for three days in that eleven companies have participated from 01.03.2019 to 03.03.2019.

• District Level Chess Championship selections held in our campus on 10.03.2019 by District Chess Association
