PLACEMENT CELL

Objectives:


The prime objective of the Training & Placement Cell is

 

  •  To look for 100% employment for all students.
  •  To recognize the core competencies of the students.
  •  To train the students to meet the expectations of the industry through our Career Development Programmes.
  •  To build confidence in students and develop right attitude in them.
  •  To enhance their communication skills.

 


Training Activities:

 

  1.        Create awareness about “career planning" and "career mapping" among the students.
  2.        Equip the student with life skills.
  3.        Train the students on “Personality development".
  4.        Organize Various Training Programmes to train the students in the areas of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning               and Verbal reasoning through the reputed external training organizations and in-house trainers.
  5.        Train the students through Mock Interviews to perform well in the professional interviews as per the expectations of                the corporate world.
  6.        Train the students on group discussion techniques
  7.        Conduct online tests and written aptitude tests.

 


Guide Lines for Placements:-

We believe in order and system in every programme undertaken. In that line it has specified certain guidelines to be followed for final placement.

  • Offers to students should be made only through the Placement cell.
  • Details regarding the Organizations final placement requirement and the registration form should reach the Placement cell as early as possible. These details are required to help in scheduling the entire placement process for convenience of all involved.
  • On receipt of the list of job opportunities along with the relevant company literature, the Placement office will collect the Bio-data of interested candidates and forward them the organizations.
  • The selection process will be held in the college campus/off campus on mutually convenient date during the placement months. On completion of the selection procedure, organizations are required to announce the list of selected candidates on the same day. Delay to announcement may lead to the selected candidates being placed elsewhere.
  • Organizations are requested to specify the terms and conditions discussed and agreed upon during the interviews along with the list of selected students to the Placement Officer.
  • Appointment Letters to the selected candidates should be sent by the organization through the placement officer at the earliest. Duplicate copy of appointment letters duly signed and accepted will be returned to the organization at the earliest.
  • We will take the responsibility for providing the required facilities for Pre-Placement Talk, Group Discussions and Interviews in the campus and will extend hospitality to the visiting executives.

The main goals are

  • Exploring-self: The basic aim is to help an individual increase his understanding and acceptance of self; his/her physical development, his/her intelligence, aptitudes, interest, personality traits, attitudes and values, his/her achievements in scholastic and other spheres, his/her aspirations and life-style preferences and above all his/her here-and-now needs which keep him highly motivated to behave positively or otherwise.
  • Determining Values: The second aim is to help an individual recognize the importance of values, explore different sets of values, determine personal values and examine them in relation to the norms of society and their importance in planning for success in life.
  • Setting Goals: This aim is to help an individual set goal for him/her self and relate these to the values determined by him so that he recognizes the importance of long-range planning.
  • Explore the World of Work: The aim here is to help the individual explore the World of Work in relation to his/her self-exploration, his/her value system and goals that he has/her set for him/herself to achieve success in life.
  • Improving Efficiency: The individual is helped to learn about factors which contribute to increase effectiveness and efficiency and to improve his study habits.
  • Building Relationship: The aim is to help the individual to be aware of his/her relationship with others and to note that it is a reflection of his/her own feelings about him/her.
  • Accepting responsibility for the future: The individual is helped to develop skill in social and personal forecasting, acquire attitudes and skills necessary for mastering the future.
